As part of our community practices we try to eliminate buying stuff as much as we can. About twice a week we get to cook by pairs using only what we produce from our garden… well, we can actually use flour, oil, and salt. This was our three course dinner:
Artichoke Fetuccini. We ended up doing home made pasta, using the eggs from our chicken, with a sauce made of artichokes, tomatoes and basil.
A complete salad with 4 types of leafs.
Pak Choi stir fry.
Home made bread.
The food was great, but even more, the fact of planting, watering, harvesting, and utilizing your own produce!!!
